Brianna is a licensed clinical social worker and earned her master’s degree at Aurora University. Her degree in social work has opened many doors to support the needs of others. Among other clinical settings, Brianna has worked in both inpatient and outpatient programs for substance use disorder. She has also worked as a peer mentor helping students to adjust and transition into the college setting. Brianna appreciates that the private practice setting allows her to work more closely with her clients and more long term.
Brianna holds a certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) which allows her to help those in recovery and support those who are just beginning their recovery journey. She is also starting the process of earning an ADHD-CCSP certification which will increase her ability to support clients with ADHD and those looking for executive functioning support.
Her areas of expertise and special interest include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, self-esteem, life transitions and emotional regulation. Brianna provides trauma-informed care as well as LGBTQ+ affirming care. She focuses her work on those 15 years of age and up. Brianna tailors her sessions to each client and may utilize CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to meet the needs of her clients.
Within the therapeutic space, she provides empathy, encourages growth, and helps to build confidence in the choices that connect with your values. Her counseling style is very welcoming, and inviting. It is important to her to create a safe and relaxed environment, free from judgment so that you feel heard and deeply understood.
