Alexandra is a licensed clinical social worker and completed her education at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her undergraduate degree is in psychology and her graduate degree is in social work. Alexandra’s career has taken her to a variety of clinical settings over the last 20+ years including community based in-home family therapy, school social work and private practice.

Alexandra also holds a certification as an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider.  With this training, she is able to help clients understand and manage their ADHD diagnosis. This page explains more on how therapy can help with ADHD.

Alexandra’s areas of expertise and special interest include anxiety, depression, self injury, parenting support, life transitions, counseling for ADHD and is LGBTQ+ affirming. She focuses her work on children (10yrs and older), teens and adults.

In sessions with clients, Alexandra strives to offer a safe and welcoming atmosphere with a dose of humor when needed. She believes that one of the most important aspects of therapy is providing clients a space to feel comfortable, challenged and supported at the same time. She leans on evidence-based treatment including CBT and DBT.

In her spare time, Alexandra enjoys reading (and is actively trying to set and meet goals to read more for pleasure vs work), spending time with her family which includes her spouse and 4 kids as well as the zoo of animals that have made their way into her home, hiking and spending time outdoors.

The office is located in Geneva, near Saint Charles, Batavia, Elgin and Aurora.
